Making a payment to the Department of Buildings (DOB) is secure and fast. Payments may be made online using debit or credit cards. To pay fees owed to DOB, please follow these steps:

Enter the number of the permitting fee.
Example – B2100000 (permit)
- Select “Next” to begin the secure payment process.
- Follow the directions on the secure site to complete payment.
- Be sure to retain the payment confirmation for your records.
You are able to make an online payment using this Payment Portal with a credit or debit card only. If you wish to pay by check, please mail the check with the Permit bill to DOB Permitting Division, located at 1100 4th Street, SW, 2nd Floor, Washington DC, 20024. Make your check payable to "DC Treasurer." Please write your Permit number on the check.
